About Sheltris — Lubbock's Storm Shelter Specialist
We source quality underground concrete storm shelters and professionally install them. One company handles everything — from quote to final inspection.
Why We Do This
Lubbock is in tornado country. The South Plains sees severe weather every spring and summer. Supercell thunderstorms develop fast across the caprock, and the flat terrain gives families very little time between a tornado warning and a tornado on the ground.
Most storm shelter companies in Texas are national brands. They ship a product to your state and leave the installation to whoever's available locally. That means one company supplies the shelter and a completely different operation — one that may or may not have experience with West Texas soil — puts it in the ground.
Sheltris exists because we saw that gap. Lubbock families deserve a storm shelter company that's actually local. One that knows the caliche layer, the drainage patterns, and the local permit requirements. One that sources a proven shelter, coordinates delivery, handles excavation, sets it in the ground, seals the joints, and grades the yard.
That's what we do. Every step. One company. One standard.
What Sets Us Apart
Full-Service Installation
We source proven shelters, coordinate delivery, and handle every step of installation — excavation, placement, sealing, grading, and walkthrough. One company manages the entire project from start to finish.
Locally Rooted
We're based in Lubbock. We know the caliche layer at 18 inches. We know the South Plains — because we live here.
Transparent Standards
We don't hide behind vague claims. The shelters we install are built using designs tested at Texas Tech University's Wind Science & Engineering Center. We tell you exactly what standards we meet — and which credentials we're still pursuing.
Direct Accountability
When you call Sheltris, you talk to the people managing your project. Not a call center. Not a dealer network. Not a sales team in another state. One company, one point of contact, from quote to final inspection.
